This month's “Ask the Pros”question pertains to children's room.

The question: “ I am updating my son’s nursery. Any ideas to match his changing needs as he grows? "

The Answer:   Think of furniture as you decorate - make sure some pieces can grow with the child. Purchase a desk that will be strong and wide enough to eventually hold a computer. Use an entertainment center for storage of coloring books, small toys, etc., then when your child’s ready for a TV, you will already have the proper unit. When purchasing the bed, make sure it’s a simple style that will accommodate any look you are trying to achieve. Paint the walls a neutral color - it will be easier to accessorize with your child’s current passion. Curtains and quilts are a quick way to change decor. Make inexpensive curtains from matching bed sheets. Use posters and cork boards for inexpensive wall decor you can change out on a whim.
